Three institutions were accepted as the new members of the AUN at the 20th AUN-BOT Meeting in the Philippines. They are:-

• Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia;
• Institute Technology of Bandung, Indonesia;
• Mahidol University, Thailand; and
• Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.
